US 2011 Cosmetics and Toiletries Sales Rise 3.1-3.6%

It’s been a good, not great, year for cosmetics and toiletries in the US. According to preliminary data from Kline, 2011 sales will rise 3.1-3.6% this year, that’s ahead of last year’s 2.4% growth, according to the Parsippany, NJ based research company. The prestige channel is the big winner in 2011, as sales are expected to jump 7-8%. In its report, Kline noted that Saks called cosmetics one of its strongest performing categories.
